Introduction

The new Okuma RTF rods are built from a light and responsive 24/30-ton low reason carbon rod blank design that is sensitive yet durable. These blanks also feature Okumas UFR-Ultimate Flex Reinforcement tip technology. This process blends unidirectional fiber over 24-ton carbon in the extended tip section of the rod to increase lifting strength and power by as much as 400%. This technology provides for the ultimate in strength without sacrificing sensitivity.

The components of the RTF rods are built for the tough conditions of the Texas inshore fishery. The guide frames are SeaGuide XO and XQ series angled 316 stainless steel and feature Zirconium inserts that offer compatibility for both braided and monofilament lines. The customized SeaGuide skeleton reel seat with woven carbon insert makes for comfortable all-day casting and is mounted to a tapered cork full or split grip configuration, depending on the rod model. All models feature a precision placed stainless steel hook keeper.
